Summer School Spanish Online Support

Spanish II & III

The Program Tutoring is once again offering our Summer School Spanish Online Support (SOS).  This summer course will be taken online through Texas Tech K-12 Online but facilitated in-person at The Program's office (3407 McFarlin Blvd) by our Spanish teacher.  This support resource will pace the student through the online course, summarize daily material and answer questions to ensure comprehension.  Texas Tech Online will provide the virtual platform, curriculum and grades, while The Program SOS will work independently to host the location, facilitate a structured learning environment and provide content assistance.  SOS gives your student a dedicated time and place to go each day so they can concentrate & focus on completing the two-semester course in 2 months, with the added benefit of having our Spanish tutor on-site to keep them on pace and assist with course completion. 

Non-Summer Alternative: If the summer months are not compatible with your student's schedule, we will offer a Sunday option in the Fall/Spring on Sunday's 12pm - 2pm.  This is structured as an either/or option: students may either join the Summer dates or Fall/Spring dates, but they cannot switch between the two or combine them.  Click here for the Fall/Spring option

Summer Highlights

  • Texas Tech online is the only HPISD approved accredited off-campus online Spanish option

  • Course takes a min of 30 calendar days per semester. A min of 60 calendar days for 2 semesters

  • Facilitated Instruction: June 10 - July 31 for 2 hours a day, 3 days a week (Tue-Thur)

  • Once course completed/passed. Student will receive credit to add to their High School transcript

  • Texas Tech Online tuition cost - $300 per semester ($600)

  • Plus The Program's Facilitation/Tutor costs - $1,100 ($1,130 after 6/1/25) 

  • $1,100 covers both semesters, June 10 - July 31, group sessions plus 2 one-hour private sessions

  • Cumulative (Jun & Jul) facilitated hours: 48 group hours + 2 hours private

  • Any additional hours needed is billed at $100 per hour 

  • No Zoom, all sessions in-person

  • No Refunds after 5/4/25

Guidelines

  • Student is responsible for notifying HPHS of Texas Tech Online Summer School course

  • Student is responsible for filing appropriate transcript paperwork 

  • Student must bring a laptop everyday

  • There will be no make-up dates for missed facilitated days at The Program

  • Student is responsible for completing their own assignments/assessments if day(s) missed

  • Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated & subject to student dismissal from SOS with no reimbursement

2 - Register with Texas Tech Online. We'll notify you when it's time to proceed with enrollment.

3 - Download Off Campus Course Application and submit to your Counselor
