The HP Program's

341 Academic Scholars Program

2026/2027 School Year

This Program will be available for enrollment once the Weekly Group Schedule is live next week

Program Overview

The HP Program 341 Academic Scholars is a proprietary academic framework developed by The HP Program to structure subject-based Scholars Programs for high school students. The framework is designed to maximize a single academic hour by formalizing collaboration, organization, leadership, and service that already occur naturally in rigorous academic environments.

Weekly Structure

Each Scholars Program meets weekly and is aligned directly with school coursework. Sessions prioritize subject-specific academic instruction supported by faculty supervision, peer collaboration, and a brief leadership coordination component. Tutoring/instruction remains the primary focus.

Quantified Commitment

Scholars meet weekly for sixteen weeks per semester. Each semester includes sixteen hours of structured academic instruction (1 hour = 55 min of course/test/quiz prep & 5 min of leadership time), sixteen faculty-supervised leadership coordination touchpoints, and two structured service contributions. Over the academic year, students complete thirty-two hours of instruction, thirty-two leadership touchpoints, and four service contributions.

Leadership Opportunities

Each Scholars Program includes an application-based student leadership team supervised by certified educators. Leadership roles reflect authentic responsibilities students already assume in collaborative academic settings.

• Program Chair

• Vice Chair

• Academic Coordinator

• Curriculum Liaison (one per group)

• Academic Records Coordinator

• Communications Coordinator

• Operations Coordinator

• Service & Engagement Coordinator

Service Opportunities

Students complete four structured, program-based service contributions per academic year. Service activities may be completed in-office or independently at home and are supervised and documented. Service work is organizational in nature and not tied to a specific subject.

College Application Guidance

Students list individual subject-based Scholars Programs (e.g., Honors Biology Scholars Program – The HP Program) on college applications. The 341 framework serves as the internal academic structure and is not listed on applications.
