Lori Langston, owner of The Program, is an experience educator who taught math for twelve years and has now tutored for eleven.  She has lived in the Park Cities for 17 years with her husband Jay and 3 children.  Lori’s oldest son is an HP graduate of 2014 and now a junior at Texas A&M in the Mays Business School.  Her middle son is a HP Class of 2017 graduating senior, and her daughter is just completing 8th grade at HPMS.  The combination of being a teacher, tutor and HP mom, provides her with a unique perspective for the demands of the student’s rigorous academic expectations, combined with their extra-curricular activities.

"Student-centered" has always been Lori’s philosophy for tutoring.  Her definition of “student-centered” is to be flexible to their schedule while incorporating academic supported strategies to address the distinct learning needs and interests of the individual students.  Lori believes that providing a positive environment helps to empower the students with knowledge and confidence.  This can be done in a one-on-one or group setting.

Lori prides herself on being an advocate for her students, but she also encourages each student to be an advocate for themself.   Her core belief is to focus on the success of the student – not the success of the tutoring business.
