Honors/TAG Biology
Back to School Prep
August 7
2pm to 3:30pm
This Honors/TAG Biology prep course is designed to help students start the semester with confidence by covering essential topics ahead of time. Key areas include macromolecules, biomolecule groups, the structure and function of carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids, as well as dehydration synthesis, hydrolysis, dipeptide formation, and more.
A course like this offers an excellent opportunity for students to warm up to the material and gain a solid head start. It’s also a great way to build confidence before the school year begins.
As a reminder, most science courses—including Honors/TAG Biology—typically have a quiz within the first few days of school. In high school, failing quiz grades cannot be retaken, so early preparation is critical.
The course is taught by Kris Jefferies, who will guide students through essential course material, provide detailed notes and practice problems, and focus on reinforcing key concepts and foundational skills.
