Honors/TAG Geometry Summer Prep

August 10 & 11

5pm - 7pm 

The main reason many students struggle in geometry is lack of preparation and organization.  After tutoring for 18 years in HP and having all three of my children recently take HP geometry, I developed a prep class that should better prepare any Honors Geometry student.  

My prep classes was developed eleven years ago and is designed to solidify numerous essential concepts to build a core geometry foundation.  This should not only help your student be better equipped for next year, but is also designed to instill confidence.  It is my experience that your algebra grade will not necessarily be indicative of your geometry success. 

Honors Geometry can be a different math class from previous math courses for many students. For some, it may be the first math class that daily studying is required for success. Keeping up with the demands and requirements of this class can be overwhelming. My goal is to provide students with tips, techniques and resources that will help with comprehension as well as alleviate anxiety.

The Geometry Summer Prep Class focus:

• Review of key concepts such as factoring (no, it did not end in the algebra),

• radicals, formulas, Pythagorean Theorem, exponents, etc.

• Formula Review

• A 3-ring binder with important notes for each unit 

• Introduce new vocabulary and solidify previous terms

Cost is $210 (includes all supplies)
