Sixth grade reading language arts students will able to understand and analyze a variety of texts from different genres. Using a variety of texts, students will determine themes, summarize content, consider different perspectives, and compare and contrast various story elements with detail.

They will also begin to develop and sustain foundational language skills, including vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking.
