Service Description
Number the Stars is the chosen 5th grade novel. Throughout the guided reading sessions, students will participate in vocabulary development, comprehension activities, literary discussions, and critical thinking exercises designed to strengthen reading skills. The group format allows students to slow down when needed, ask questions, discuss important themes, and build a stronger understanding of the novel beyond simply completing the reading assignment. This guided review is especially beneficial for students who may struggle to complete summer reading independently or who benefit from structure, pacing, accountability, and interactive discussion throughout the reading process. There is also the potential for light reading assignments outside of the sessions in order to help maintain pacing and keep the group moving together through the novel.

Cancellation Policy
Back to School Prep - Prep sessions can be cancelled and refunded up to Jun 30th. No cancellations, refunds/credit after June 30. Switches within same subjects are allowed if another open session is available. **Note - To switch session day/times within the same subject, go to https://www.thehpprogram.com 1.) If using desktop - locate the "person" icon in top right corner. If using a mobile device - tap the 3 lines in top right corner and tap "+" next to your login name. 2.) Log In, if not already. Click/Tap "My Bookings", then click/tap "Upcoming" and find the Review you want to switch. 3.) Click "Reschedule" and pick new day/time you want to switch to, then click "NEXT".  Switches only valid for same course, same week and can be done anytime before 12 hours of the review time if there is an open spot.
