Service Description

This intensive 1.5-hour workshop is designed to help students transition confidently into the fast-paced world of Honors/Tag Biology. Created to bridge the gap between middle school science and advanced high school biology, the session reviews key foundational scientific concepts students are expected to understand from day one, while also previewing many of the topics and learning styles that traditionally challenge Honors students during the first unit. The workshop will be led by Kris Jefferies, a parent of an incoming HP freshman who brings more than 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience working directly with the HP Hon/Tag Biology curriculum. Her familiarity with both the academic expectations and pacing of the course provides students with valuable insight and preparation before the school year begins.
