Geometry Back to School Prep

Many students struggle in geometry due to a lack of preparation and organization. After nineteen years of tutoring in Highland Park, and watching all three of my children go through the HP geometry course, I developed a prep class specifically designed to help students start strong.

This course, now in its 14th year, focuses on reinforcing the core concepts that form a solid foundation for geometry. It is designed not only to improve readiness but also to build the confidence students need to succeed. From my experience, a high grade in algebra does not always predict success in geometry, which often requires a different way of thinking.

For many students, geometry is unlike any math course they've taken before. It may be the first time they need to study consistently each day to stay on track. The workload and expectations can be challenging. My goal is to give students the tools, strategies, and support they need to understand the material and manage the demands of the class with confidence.

The Geometry Summer Prep Class focus:

Review of key concepts such as factoring (no, it did not end in the algebra),
radicals, formulas, Pythagorean Theorem, exponents, etc.
Formula Review
A 3-ring binder with important notes for each unit and over 160 vocabulary cards
Introduce new vocabulary and solidify previous terms

Cost is $180 (includes all supplies)
