College Major Exploration & Application Seminar
6-Hour Course
Saturday, March 25 at 11am-1pm
Saturday, April 1 at 11am-1pm
Sunday, April 16
at 11am-1pm

For those sophomores and juniors that are just not quite sure yet what major they should declare for college, The Program is offering a college major exploration & application seminar. These days getting accepted to your preferred college has become more difficult and pinpointing a degree path may help decipher your major/college. This 6 hour (over 3 dates) course will help identify a major that best fits the student's strengths and interests.  We will also discuss college applications and essays, to better understand and feel comfortable with the process.

GPA is, and always will be, an extremely import aspect for getting into the college of your choice, while college entrance exams seem to be lowering in priority.  Strategically, choosing the best major that compliments your strengths/interests and designing your resumé and high school summer jobs to support your preferred major is the future for getting into your college of choice.

There are so many new and immerging majors, and many find it hard to know what best fits their skill sets.  Currently, most students are not taking advantage of the unknown opportunities and new unfamiliar majors.  Once you know your strengths and interest, you can focus on what path is best for you.

This is why this program can be of great help to some.  The student will take a profile test that will help identify/categorize skills and interest.  Based on the data our instructor will help narrow the information down to more specific path.
