Keyboarding Camp

4th - 8th Grade

8th - 12th Grade

Students learn proper keyboarding techniques through personalized instruction, printed practice packets, multi-sensory activities, and a variety of teaching methods tailored to each student's learning style. The program emphasizes correct finger placement, posture, accuracy, and the development of typing speed while helping students build quick recall and motor memory through consistent practice and teacher-guided feedback. Unlike many self-paced online programs, students receive immediate correction and encouragement to prevent the development of poor typing habits and establish a strong foundation for lifelong keyboarding success. Typing practice materials are also provided for home use, allowing students to progress at their own pace and reinforce skills learned in class.

Taught by Judy Morehead, an experienced keyboarding instructor with more than 20 years of teaching students how to develop proper typing technique, accuracy, and speed. Through personalized instruction and proven methods, students build the strong keyboarding foundation needed for academic success and everyday computer use.
